Browse pages

Browse pages show items as sticker cards in a grid: each card has the item's picture, its title, a short line under the title and the first lines of its description. The same cards appear on the home page, in search results and in shortcodes such as [items].

Artworks shown as sticker cards in a grid
A browse page of sticker cards

Under Browse pages › Line under the card title, choose what the short line shows:

Choice Shows
Item type and date (the default) The item's type and date, such as "Still Image · 2026"
Type and date The item's Dublin Core Type, such as "Drawing · 2026", or its item type where it has none
Creator and date The item's creators and date, such as "Mila, age 6 · 2026": a good fit for artwork
Date only The date
Nothing No line under the title

A part with no value is left out: an item without a date shows only its type or its creators.

How many cards a page shows is Omeka's Results Per Page (public) under Appearance › Settings.

Exhibits

Exhibit navigation puts an exhibit's table of contents beside each page, in a menu above it, or leaves only previous and next links. Exhibit cover shows an exhibit's cover image as a wavy banner with the title, beside the description, or not at all. An exhibit's pages appear on its first page as numbered sticker cards. See Exhibits.
