Codex is OpenAI's coding agent. Connected to your Omeka site, it works with the collection as your Omeka user.
Connect with your Omeka account
codex mcp add omeka --url https://archive.example.org/mcp
codex mcp login omeka
Your browser opens your Omeka site: sign in, review the permissions and choose Allow.
Connect with an API key
Create a key on your user page in the admin (Users > your name > API Keys), then add the server to ~/.codex/config.toml and keep the key in an environment variable:

tool_timeout_sec gives tools that download files from the web time to finish.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect next to Codex on MCP Connections, run codex mcp logout omeka, or delete the API key.
