Go to OG Images > Settings.
| Setting | Default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Sharing images | On | Off: no page gets an image from OG Images. RefBytes themes then use the page's own image. |
| Pages | All | The kinds of page that get a sharing image: home page, items, collections, files, exhibits, exhibit pages, simple pages, blog posts (with the Blog plugin), search results. A kind you untick keeps the theme's own image (on RefBytes themes) or none. |
| Keep cached images (days) | 7 | How long a drawn image is kept before it is drawn again. Images are also drawn again whenever their record or template changes. 0 draws every image anew each time. |
Where images come from
Each kind of page uses its default template (see Managing Templates). A page's image address is /og-image/<kind>/<id>, for example /og-image/item/42; see Image Address.
Private records
Images are drawn as the visitor sees the site: a private item, an unpublished simple page or a private exhibit has no image for the public (its address answers 404), so nothing private leaks through a preview.
