First release for Omeka Classic: the Classic edition of Design Studio 1.0.0 for Omeka S, a live-preview customizer for RefBytes themes built on the Theme Engine (Vitrine, Confetti, Plinth, Overprint).
- Full-screen customizer at Customize in the admin menu, with every setting of the theme's Configure Theme page, in the same sections, beside a preview of the site.
- Colors, fonts, type, spacing, shapes, header and footer styles and custom CSS restyle the open page instantly; other settings reload it in place, keeping the scroll position.
- Changes are saved as you go as a draft that only you can see, kept until you publish or discard it. Drafts hold only the settings you changed.
- Images for logos, banners, partner logos, the site icon and the sharing image are uploaded from the customizer (PNG, JPG or GIF up to 1 MB, as on Configure Theme) and shown at once; images that are never published are deleted.
- Color fields get the browser's color picker beside the hex value; HTML settings get the same rich text editor as on Configure Theme.
- Links and searches inside the preview stay in preview mode; pages opened in a new tab are marked as previews. Redirects keep the preview.
- Desktop, tablet and phone widths; light and dark schemes, following the theme's dark mode setting.
- Settings are validated as on Configure Theme; rejected values are marked next to their field. Changed settings are marked, with a count per section.
- Customize in the admin menu, Customize with live preview on Appearance › Themes and Configure Theme, and a Customize this site button on public pages that opens the customizer on the page you are viewing. Access follows Omeka's permission to configure themes.
