- Keep page markup when Omeka filters HTML now keeps the theme engine's card attributes:
data-layout(gridorlist) on a list of cards anddata-lines(3or5) on card text. Saving a Simple Page or exhibit text with cards written in the engine's markup removed them, so lists of cards showed as grids, overlay cards lost their overlay and card text was no longer clamped. Upgrading with the option on adds*.data-layoutand*.data-linesto Settings › Security › Allowed HTML Attributes, and only those: entries you removed stay removed. - The same option keeps description lists whose terms and descriptions are grouped in
divs, as HTML5 allows and the theme engine's Spotlight fields are written (<dl><div><dt>…</dt><dd>…</dd></div></dl>). Omeka's filter knows only HTML 4 and turned each list into onedivof run-together text.
Block Suite Omeka Classic plugin

1.0.0

First version for Omeka Classic, the counterpart of BlockSuite 1.2 for Omeka S.
Exhibit Builder layouts:
- Hero: a large heading over, beside or below the first item's image, with an eyebrow line, text, a button (to a page or the item) and an image credit; three heights and a focal point. Without an item, a plain dark panel.
- Lead Paragraph, Callout (three colors) and Pull Quote (attribution linked to a source item or address).
- Columns: two or three columns, flowing or split at headings or at
---paragraphs, with optional rules; responsive to the block's own width. - Call to Action: heading, text and up to two buttons on no background or the theme's tint, primary, accent or dark section color.
- Statistics: up to 24 figures with labels and descriptions, plain or as cards, with live counts (
{items},{collections},{exhibits},{files},{tags},{featured}). - Timeline: events written as dated headings in the text (illustrated by the items, in order), or one event per item from its Date, sorted by date. Machine dates and ranges read as people write them, in
<time>elements. - Item Cards (the theme's own cards, as a grid, a list or a featured grid, with an optional "See all" link), Spotlight (one or more items large with chosen Dublin Core fields) and Logo Wall.
- Item Slider: the theme's cards in a scrolling row with previous and next buttons, a live region, and an optional slide show that stops on focus, pauses on hover and never runs with reduced motion. No jQuery or jCarousel, so it never clashes with Exhibit Builder's Carousel or Shortcode Carousel.
- Search Box: the site search or the items search (optionally in one collection), with suggested searches.
- Tabs and Accordion: the text split at its headings, following the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices; closed accordion sections stay findable with find-in-page; links to anchors inside open their tab or section; everything reads without JavaScript.
- Divider: the theme's ornament, a line or a space, in three sizes.
Shortcodes for Simple Pages, the home page welcome text and exhibit text blocks: [bs_search], [bs_stats], [bs_cta], [bs_items] (by ids, collection, tags, item type or featured; cards, list, featured grid or slider), [bs_timeline] and [bs_divider]. [bs_timeline] shows items, or events written by hand in its events attribute (date|title|text|link|link label, separated by ;, with \; and \| for a semicolon or bar in the text), as BlockSuite for Omeka S lets editors write timeline events.
Settings: Keep page markup when Omeka filters HTML (on by default). Omeka's HTML filter knows only HTML 4 and removes <section>, <nav>, <figure>, <figcaption>, <time>, ARIA attributes and the like when Simple Pages, exhibit text or theme text are saved, even when they are on its allowed lists. With the option on, BlockSuite adds HTML5 definitions to the filter (through Omeka's html_purifier_config_setup filter, so Omeka's settings and allowed lists stay in charge) and, when the option is turned on or BlockSuite is installed, adds the missing elements and attributes to the allowed lists. Uninstalling leaves the lists as they are.
Theming: engine components use the RefBytes Theme Engine's markup and classes; BlockSuite's own components use the class names of BlockSuite for Omeka S and the engine's --v-* tokens, in the engine.content cascade layer. A standalone stylesheet gives everything a plain look under other themes. Stylesheets and the script load only on pages that use them.
