The Search Box puts a large, labeled search field on the page, for the whole site or for items, with optional suggested searches.
Options

| Introduction | Optional text above the field. |
| Heading, Heading level | Optional heading; it also names the search landmark. |
| Search | Everything on the site (Omeka's site search, /search, with the site's default query type) or Items (/items/browse?search=). |
| Collection | Items search only: limit the search to one collection. |
| Field label | Shown above the field. When empty, the label ("Search" or "Search items") is read to screen readers only. |
| Placeholder | An example search shown in the empty field. |
| Button label | Default Search. |
| Suggested searches | Separated by commas; each becomes a link that runs that search. |
