Teams & Account

Inviting team members

Running a digital collection is rarely a one-person job. Platform Manager is built around teams, so you can share your account with colleagues and work on your sites together.

How teams work

Every account has a team. The team is what actually owns everything: your sites, your backups, your custom modules and themes, and your subscription. When you invite someone, they join your team and see the same sites you do.

Sending an invitation

Head to the Users page in the menu and click Invite Team Member.

Enter your colleague's email address and choose a role for them:

  • Owner has full access, including billing and team settings.
  • Member can view and manage sites day to day.

Click to send, and that is it. Your colleague receives an email with an invitation link. When they follow it, they create their own login and land in your team automatically. There is nothing else for you to do.

Choosing the right role

A good rule of thumb: the person who handles the account and the subscription should be an owner, and everyone who just needs to work on sites can be a member. The person who created the account is an owner from the start.

Members can do the everyday work of building and maintaining sites, so most invitations will be for members. You can always invite someone as an owner later if their responsibilities grow.

If an invitation link stops working

Invitations expire after a while for security. If your colleague waited too long and their link no longer works, there is no harm done. Just send them a fresh invitation from the Users page and they can pick up where they left off.

The same goes for emails that land in a spam folder or get lost. Sending a new invitation is always safe.

What your teammates will see

Once they join, teammates sign in the same way you do and see the same dashboard. If they are new to Platform Manager, point them at our welcome guide for a quick tour, or straight to the Sites dashboard if they are ready to dive in.

Questions about who should manage the subscription? Our plans and billing guide covers how billing works for your team.
